Emory University Women's Tennis Head Coach Amy Bryant is pleased to announce the incoming recruiting class of Alexa Goetz, Stephanie Shulman and Katelyn Thomas that will join the Eagles for the 2019-20 season.
"I'm very excited about this incoming freshmen class!" exclaimed Bryant. "They are a talented group who will contribute a lot to our team over the course of their careers!"
All three incoming student-athletes are ranked inside the top-200 nationally according to the Babolat recruiting list while boasting four-star labels and a Universal Tennis Rating of nine on the 1-16 scale.
Thomas, a Granbury, Texas native, is currently ranked 138th in the country and is 10th in both the Gulf States and state of Texas recruiting lists.
Goetz hails from Greenlawn, New York and is ranked 168th nationally. In addition, she is ranked 13th out of all players from the state of New York and is 32nd in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Shulman, a Gates Mills, Ohio resident, rounds out the 2023 recruiting class for the Eagles. Shulman is slotted 199th in the United States while also being ranked seventh in the state of Ohio and 24th among players from the Great Lakes region.
