Senior Scott Rubinstein and junior James Spaulding teamed up to win the doubles title at the Grizzly Open.
After drawing an opening-round bye, the No. 1-seeded duo posted four wins en route to the doubles crown. After registering an 8-3 decision against Emmanuel College's Enrique Alcacer and Juan Carlos Romero in the Round of 16, Rubinstein and Spaulding topped Yago Fernandez and and Toby de Klerk from Tusculum, 9-7, in the quarterfinals.
On the final day of action, the Emory tandem defeated Point College's Federico Barbon and Samuel Blackbur, 8-6, in the semis, before holding off Georgia Gwinnett's Sergio Vallinotti and the unattached Aved Zatar, 8-5, in the championship encounter.
