Emory University senior Aman Manji saw his run at ITA Oracle Cup come to an end Saturday afternoon, as he came out on the short end of a semifinal-round singles match. The Oracle Cup is being held at the Surprise Tennis Center in Surprise, Arizona.
Manji, who earlier in the day, won the D-III portion of the event, was defeated by Jorge Martinez of Tyler Junior College (TX), 6-4, 6-1. Martinez now advances to the Oracle Cup Singles Championship on Sunday.
Manji closed out the fall portion of the schedule with a 9-1 singles ledger, and earned his way to this weekend's action after winning the ITA South Region title.
