The Emory University Men's Swimming and Diving Gold team edged out the Blue squad, 144-138, in the Eagles' annual intrasquad meet Friday afternoon in Atlanta.

The meet was closely contested as each side claimed eight event victories. Senior Oliver Smith, junior Thomas Gordon and freshman Yuhan Liu paced the Gold team with two individual event wins each.

Smith touched first in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly with Gordon winning the 500 and 1000 Freestyles. Liu claimed both Breaststrokes, winning the 100 and 200.

Gold added individual event wins in the 3-meter dive by sophomore Trevor Burke and in the 200 Backstroke by junior Zachary Chen.

For the Blue team, six different Eagles recorded individual event victories while adding a sweep of both relay events. Freshman Kellen Stillman won the 200 Freestyle, sophomore Sage Ono touched first in the 100 Backstroke, sophomore Evan Brock won the 200 Butterfly, junior Trey Kolleck won the 100 Freestyle and newcomers Daniel Coleman and Sven Mesihovic earned wins in the 1-meter dive and 200 IM, respectively.

The Blue bookended the meet with relay wins in the 200 Medley by Ono, Kolleck, senior Cooper Tollen and sophomore Ton Kiangsiri and in the 400 Freestyle by Ono, Kolleck and juniors Alex Kohlman and Matt Rogers.

The Eagles return to the pool next Saturday, October 14th, with a dual meet against Division II's Queens University in Charlotte, NC.
