Was a four-year member of the Milan High School team, serving as a captain during his senior year... Was the Division 3 State record holder for the 50-yard freestyle... Recorded career-best times of 20.78 in the 50 free, and 56.19 for the 100 free... Coached by Dan Heikka in both high school and with the Milan Swim Club... Also played soccer in high school.
Born March 1st... Brother, Dylan Shearer, was a four-year swimmer at Kalamazoo College... Was third in his class in high school.
